Perhaps, this is not really necessary, but it would be nice to implement some scenario of the global all-galactic threat in the game. For example, as the Antharans in MoO 2 or Swarm in Stellaris. There are a lot of options, from artificial intelligence to some non-baryonic form of life

I could get behind this if it was just a scenario or a switch you could turn on and off. However I don't know if it could be executed well.

the academy quest is supposed to fill this role. I think they should focus on making that more interesting first. But would love to see additional quests after its concluded to deal with the outcome.
