As the tittle says, as an atacking force it would be very helpfull to see what system improvements the enemy has before the battle begins, so that we can better understand what tactics we should be using against them.
I think this is particualrly important for new players who might be wondering why for example:
- Pre-emptive bombardemend seems to do friendly fire(it does not, but there is a planetary defence improvement that looks very similar animation wise during the battle).
- Why the enemy forces even tho they are few compared to our numbers seem to do so much more damage.
It would also be great to add a few other stuff to the actual battles for immersion:
- Different combat scenery based on planet type: lava, gass, ocean, etc.
- Different combat scenery and animations based on the tactics chosen by both atacker and defender(stuff like visual bunkers, trenches, etc).
