Hey guys!


I think the curret sate how immigration works is nice but needs really much micro management. It can disturb gameplay in lategame with many systems and/or many species in my opinion. 

So why dont we give it a bit more polishing?


How it could funtion:

- 2 types of systems: 1. Systems where the population immigrates  2. Systems where population migrates

- Set what species a System needs and how many

- Set which species migrates from a System (so that system can only have a max count of this type of Species)


Thats already about it i guess.

I m open for criticism or how to enhance the idea.

This feature is useful mid / late game when you have several systems with max populations. Since those systems are now capped and most likely to generate a population on each turn, it is suggested that they start migrating to newer systems with less population. Micro managing migration from too many systems late game each turn can be a hassle and trouble some.

I have two suggestions. First in the migration tab there should be a display, under the list of systems, that shows the populations of the main system and the system you're looking to immigrate to. This would show both the species in the system and how many there are of each.

Second there should be an option to have extra populations (species pop. in the system over a determined number) continuously migrate to another system. You'd choose this in the migration tab between two systems to lock their migration. So every time a new pop. unit is created, if they meet the threshold, will head to the other system automatically.

Could be handled with a new building "Immigration ministry". Once you have the tech you build it new systems and selected what races from your empire and alliance it will accept. Once a system is maxed new populations relocate. Maybe create some other "thresholds" such us population are willing to move when they hit overcrowding or become unhappy.
