For the record, i just have 16 hours of playing. But still, i think the problem I encoutered is encountered by other players, as it is shown by these steam forum threads :

(BTW, a developer took into account what was said in the second one. And maybe this issue is already fixed or being fixed by the studio).
I think indeed that economic victory is too easy to reach, compare to scientific victory, for instance.
My suggestion is not only to raise dust accumulation requirements, but also to include accumulation of strategic ressources, and maybe luxury ones.
This would implies that the faction develop in the end technologies allowing orichalcix and quadrinix extraction. Moreover, that would ask to commit more to exploration and war.
Eventually, it would enrich the quest for economic victory by playing and speculating more on the galactic market (which is a place for economists, after all).
I know that's more a thought than a profund idea. Just sayin'.
Excuse-me for my english : french player speaking.
I'm aware amplitude is a french studio, but the website content is in english. So...
Anyway, i should greet the studio "dans la langue de Molière" :
Vous avez développé un sacré bon jeu. Pour moi, vous avez effectué un pas de géant depuis le premier opus. En vous souhaitant tout le meilleur pour la suite!
