"Oh, man. What was I doing? Why do I have this queued up? The hell is going on here?" I knew I should have made notes, but I didn't. It's the bane of my existence every time I load a save. It's not too much work to open Google Docs or Notepad and make a list of reminders, but it would be tremendously satisfying to have a place to take notes in-game.

It would be a small addition, and, to me, even something as simple and featureless as Windows Notepad would be fantastic. This is especially true for multiplayer games. I'll probably continue a singleplayer game the next day, and I can take my time figuring out what I was working on. Not to mention I probably found a convenient time to save. However, it can be a few days or more until everyone in that multiplayer game is ready to play again; not everyone will want to wait around for people to get their heads straight; and it's harder to find a good stopping place when there are multiple people playing.

"Man, I wish I could make notes in-game." I keep thinking it, even in ES1 and EL. I figured someone else may have made a suggestion like this, but I wasn't able to find it. I hope this isn't a repeat.

Yeah, especially when I come back to a game after a few days and I'm going "wtf was I even doing". It'd be hilarious if you could have little yellow notes sticking out of random places that are enlarged when you click on so that you can read the reminder, but even if it was just something incredibly basic that'd still get the job done (which is the whole point). Add a "toggle notes" option in the Options section and those who don't need it won't ever see it again.
