Sometimes I would like to play free-for-all single/multi-player games. So I wish there would be this option.

Also it can remove the continuous disturbances from AI opponents

Hey, I was coming to post the same idea.

I truly love the diplomatics and alliances ways in 4X games. It still (and it will always, it's a complex subject) needs work and improvments to do better, but it's really my pleasure in 4X.

BUT SOMETIMES, I would like to play a free-for-all game too. Just to compete against others AI, to see if I'm getting better at the game, testing me to choose the right difficulty level...

And just ignoring alliances requests from AI doesn't help me about all that.

With alliances, sometimes I win, sometimes I loose, but I can't always tell for sure what was my contribution (in good as bad ways).

It would be great if you add an option to allow (by default) or forbid alliances in the party creation screen.

Definately in favor of more gameplay options but I would much prefer them making alliances somehow a much riskier thing than simply allowing people to disable them...

I understand Father (that sounds strange ;-) ), but it's not one choice over the other, I want both.

The game still needs a hard work to do on diplomacy and politics, as I said it's tricky to do a good gameplay element with those subjects, but the "no alliance option" is just an option.

I see that pretty much as the Academy quest, sometimes I play with, sometimes I don't. And it change so much the game that I enjoy to play both, my goals, the way I play change.
