Will this be easy to implement? I like keeping the minor faction ships they add variety and history to my empire but they are so slow and they have a hard time keeping up with my fleets. The ability to upgrade ships with my factions latest tech can allow them to last potentially to the end game instead of just scraping them when they are obsolete.

I think this would be cool, where Assimilating a minor faction into your Empire adds the Ship Designs so that we can add such upgrades, and maybe even be able to build new ships from their facilities.
