One way to improve the multiplayer experience, is to allow two or more players to not only save the game as is currently done, but log on at different times and make a limited number of moves which can then be uploaded and sent to the other players. In much the same way as an online chess game would work... could a similar game mechanic be implemented for Endless Space 2? In this way, the game becomes more convenient to the players and allows it to be played much more easily across time instead of scheduling play times for every multiplayer game. Admittedly a lot of things would need to be worked out, and I am not a game developer so I'm not sure what architecture will need to be used such as cloud services Etc.
