Enable modding new Ships into the game

I dont know if the title is right and if the idea is already in this forum or if it is already implementet. I dont know. I wanted to make a Mod for Endless Space 2 but i saw that i cant mod new Ships into the game. So I ask if  you could make it happen that we could Mod new Ships into the game. Modding would be much bette with it.
