Minor Faction Heroes

I think that it would be cool if when you assimilate a minor faction into your empire, there was a chance that a Hero representing that faction joins you, or maybe you have to do a unique quest to get him/her into your ranks.

Maybe this mechanic is only avaible if you unlock a specific tech or only some races have recruitable heroes.

Any thougths?
