in 4X games, one city/system only factions are very hard to balancing, and conceps. but i have idea, here's one.


new faction are mad at killing planet. they like it, very good at it, and getting bennefit from it. their home system is aleady blew up, now they living planet's wreckage or old orbital habitat. this faction getting FIDSI and stratagic resource from planet wreackage in their own influence area, if they do kill to many planets and have wide influence area, their home system's income will gonna exraordinary level.


and they do not 'colonize' ever. colonizer ship is replaced one use planet killing bomb, just blow up single uninhabited planet with several turn. (this precessing will almost like normal colonizing, but just kill single planet.) and increase system level is new habitats in home system, get population slot in other wreckage in home system.


and if they capture system from ground battle, could destroy entire planet from system.
