Many a time, when you chain gang or use other "action" - a pop you wanted to cherish "dies" for a pop you want to get rid of to live. You can always send them to some backwards colony and never call them, but why should your pops suffer for naught?

What if you want a pop to grow on their own (instead of your other one) using food, but the wrong pop grows instead?

With one simple toggleable click you would choose a population that will die/grow.

Also why cannot we sell our pops to a marketplace?

I bet space frogs would do it(and I think it's even in game lore ), as well as UE (indentured servants, serfs, priosoners) and Cravers (duh) or Horatio (a born collector) or Sophons/Riftborn(experiment D-subjects) or Vodyani (food) etc. For those saying it's immoral - we (even pacifistic Unfallen) - can get a tech to literally dissolve a pop into dust.

Pop is a resource like any other.
