ARK as a selectable hull type

Actually you can do it by redesigning Arks in ship design and retrofitting them.

Not sure what you're asking, but they're available as ship hull.

I think what the OP means is, he'd like to be able to have multiple designs simultaneously.

That's right! 

Please rethink the Out of Vision status for this idea and for Upgrade Vodyani Arks Independently! What if you could have several Ark designs and choose which Ark design you want to retrofit an Ark to? (Clicking retrofit could trigger a pop-up asking which design to use). Then a player could manage just a few templates and retrofit individual arks to those templates as needed. Players want the option to micromanage their arks and the current system is tedious, having to retrofit the single Ark design every time you want an Ark to be more combat-capable or more productive for a system.

Actual system is worst than getting a Ark hull type. So I upvote.

Adding to that : as the Ark is a spaceship like another, it's make confusion and unclear why the player can't do that.

A new player feel that, and I felt that first time I played vodyani. Looking everywhere what's going wrong. Asking myself if my game isnt bugged.

It's non sens.

In a typical Vodyani game you max out at empire limit. or a bit Less if your playing tall.

Of those Arks I'd like maybe one specialised science, two or three to specialised Industry, 4 Battle arks and that would be it. This is control all the other races have over their systems afterall. I'm sure the complexity in specialising isn't the intended design of the Vodyani. Three different designs doesn't seem to many.

Well I gotta say since you can't cross retrofit creation of another design would really do no good. And don't worry about that idea. It's out of vision aswell.

Well, the Behemoths allow you to have multiple templates, so there's even less excuse for this to be considered "Out of Vision" now. I despise the current system, that requires me to write down all of the modules one of my Arks has so I can recreate it, then make my change on the template, then update my Ark, and then move on to the next Ark, which has different modules, so I have to write them down to recreate that design in the template, etc. It's just rediculous.

Hmm... I just started a new game as the Vodyani, and it now allows the creation of new Ark templates! I'm not sure when this was added, but thank you!
