Ability to choose to focus the fire from all the guns of your fleet to a single ship from an ennemy fleet.

You push a button in the pre-battle screen.


The list of the ennemy fleet would comes in a list like a construction queue.
Then you would choose the order of the ships that have to be destroyed before shooting to the next target.

Clicking on this option would come with a dps malus.

The OUT OF VISION status is given by the dev team to ideas that are not compatible with their vision of the game or technically not feasible.

Thanks for your idea, but this would not be compatible with our battle system and would bypass certain module effects.

If ships have very dedicated modules, this would give a tactical ability, working with very easy mecanisms to focus fire on a special target.

The return of the Nosebreaker! It could be the only way to melt those indestructible late game ships. Not sure how it would fit into the flotilla thing though.

Not sure ATM as battle will be reworked.

I'll be following this idea, and support it if things keep going actual way.

@lo_fabre: I think it's all about the road they want to follow through new modules.


If they want to implement modules ideas coming for exemple from their ideas, your thread or others, it would be a very fine thing to do.

If they go all-in on weapons / armor, then this doesn't mean much.


If they are making special modules, giving special roles to ships, and I think they would, then to me, it's a good hour of work/effective ratio to put some strategical aspects to battles in the game. 

This would ask the player "would you prefer destroying dps, or this one role ?".


That totally means something on the map, depending of the enemy fleets that can join later and the ship you can bring in after the battle. Or the war goal you want to defend ("this one enemy ship got lots of manpower, this means they will one-shot my planets, so mmm, I'll shoot those first ?")


(sidenote: imho lo_fabre, you should have broke your thread into 5, because they may implement 1 idea from your thread and not all. And then 2 years from now on, when they would be hunting / recap ideas, they may just ignore your thread because it's "implemented". That's why I did not put the module ideas I had under your thread.).

I think this should be implemented as in the ES1: select one of the 3 possible behaviors of fire for each phase (concentrating fire on one ship, concentrate fire on the first third part of ships' order, scattered fire)
