Often we leave our ships to guard a system on the border of your empire hoping for them to stop any intruders, and then in the heat of the action we forgot to check every turn if they stopped someone and have to spend a few turns playing cat and mouse with a few ships invading our territory

Ships set in wait stance do provide the player with a notification telling an enemy ship has entered sensor range, it would be great if we could have such notification for fleet in guard and blockade stance.

There is a visual ping on the map when an enemy enters a blockaded system, but we do not have plans to add a full notification for this.

I'm thinking the same thing. Know where at the bottom right there's an icon to "order all fleets to execute their planned moves" and one for "...Idle fleet".

Maybe right next to the "Idle Fleet" icon there would be another new icon for "Protential battle" locations on the galaxy map, locations where your ships detected nearby enemy ships or are already in a system with enemy ships. Click icon to cycle through all the locations. I just hate it when the AI manages to sneak colony ships or explorers past.

It is been a year and this is not implement yet? I hate checking on all my fleet that doing guard duty to see if they catch anything in that turn.

At the very least, a guarding fleet should wake when an enemy fleet enters the system (after reducing the enemy fleet's movement points to zero, of course). That way, the fleet will come up as one cycles through the idle fleets and you can attack if you want. This way, the dev's wouldn't have to add new notifications to the game. A notification might be nice, but might be more work for the devs.

This would be REALLY useful... having a war on three frounts, and having fleets slip though is a issue, that or it takes forever looking for them!

Considering you can only "trap" an enemy fleet for a single turn, this is almost a necessity in Endless Space 2.

This is a big one when the late game starts kicking off. When your at war on sometimes 2-3 fronts, it would be nice to have small notifications to keep players aware of things like this.

Pejman:

I had an idea while playing. Currently there are 2 icons that exist above the END TURN circle, one to cycle through idle fleets and one to execute planned fleet movements. Perhaps a third icon could be added that would cycle through threatened fleets having an action point to spend. By threatened fleet, I mean any fleets that share star system orbit with a hostile enemy fleet. This could serve the purpose of notifying a player when an enemy fleet moves into orbit (instead of just moving into visibility range which, as a workaround, doesn't address the actual issue being discussed) and keeping a player informed of potentially unused action points during ongoing skirmishes with many fleets.

Hope something to this effect is implemented soon. Large scale games become unbearable tedious without such a QoL feature.
