Negative approval of plannet type should be based on population type

In the current game whatever faction you are playing, whatever your population you will get the same loss of approval from planet types. That means that Lumeris will get negative approval from attol type planets even though their homeworld is an atoll.

I belive that the approval loss should be based on the population (and how different from their original world the planet is) for instance lumeris would give much harsher disapproval from being sent to arid worlds and they would be much happier in any wet world.

on the other hand temperate based population will get about the same disapproval from any other type of planet.

As SpaceTroll commented on the duplicate of this idea: "we tried it, and it made it quite hard to follow and understand. we decided to finally go for a simple system. Yet modders should be able to change that."

It seems very intuitive. Would be interesting to have this in the final game.

I was thinking this may get a little complicated with having a number of different races assimilated, so I wanted to offer up another idea.  Why not have a +1  per  for, let's say, Amoeba on Wet, +1  per  for Hissho on Dry, etc?  This would add a new dimension of strategy once migration is introduced.

i don't think it would get really complicated actually, each faction/race pop would have an "approval" yield depending on the planet type and it's tier and the flat negative approval would be removed from planets

PS : actually just realised my proposition was in double (probably clicked too much or it lagged at some point and ended up getting posted 2 times)

so if everyone could focus on this one https://www.games2gether.com/endless-space-2/ideas/81-negative-approval-of-plannet-type-should-be-based-on-population-type (since it has a bit more votes) and if a dev could delete this current one (ID 80) it would be great. My bad ^^

we wanted to keep it simple at first, but it worth looking into it to make it a bit more complex by creating a symbyosis between populations and planets

I support this. Different races should have different reactions to different planet types. A water-borne race should thrive and be happy (+5 , +5 ?) in Oceans and Atolls, and struggle and be miserable (-5 , -5 ?) in Desert and Arid worlds, for example.

its mostly approval i think, since the logic behind it is "they need less equipment to live there and the planet feels less alien, thus they feel more at peace in there"

i will just need to rework my mods since the water and dry types have dissapeared (for now)

Here is a different idea to tackle that problem:
