Have different planet types affect ground combat

Different planet types should help or hinder ground ops.  For example, forest planets should benefit infantry but hurt armour and air.  Ocean planets should benefit air, but hurt armour and infantry.  Deserts should benefit armour an air, but penalize infantry.  And so on.  Furthermore, there should be anamolies that benefit or hinder defenses. Constant Monsoon should penalize air units.  Strong Gravity should penalize them all.  Hollow Planet should benefit infantry.  And so on.

Improvements for ground battles will make ES2 a lot better. The visuals should be reworked too, that there is a static ground for each planet type (i like the colonisation ingame videos). And the shooting should be slower and more realistic. Maybe the defenders should get a little home bonus (its actually quiet difficult to defend).

The idea is nice, but I don't see how the player could interract with that, as ground troups are "fixed" and always the same.

Enchanteur.  I don't think the player needs to interact with it other than choosing the kinds of planets one colonizes.  These should be modifiers to damage or defense; obviously I'm not sure how they have it set up in the game's code, so it might not be possible at all.  My point is that invaiding a forest world or and ocean world should not be exactly the sme as invading a barren or toxic world.

It would be cool if the game had more options in general for manipulating the planet in terms of allowing the use of the terrain or planet type to advantage.
