While I do like how luxuries lead to more developed systems, I feel like I rarely get the chance to use later-game luxuries, as I have already locked down my resources, and some luxuries, like redsang, are only worthwhile in growing systems and as such are not worth a permanent empire-wide installation. My suggestion is to either/both:


  • Make luxuries provide booster effects, like in Endless legends. Booster eddects might be worse than system development, or all luxuries used in system devolopment might be made to scale in power based on system level, as opposed to just a few.
  • Make system developments changable at a high cost in resources, enough luxuries to retrofit everything in your empire, plus intrest, and a lot of dust besides.
