They are micro machines that can be combined to bigger machines.

They feed the sun in order to survive. Each sun they fed becomes a blackhole (unhabitable obviously).

No diplomacy, no dust (or fids in general). Resource is energy.

Government is a network (consensus).

Tech tree - something heavily related to energy, communication, nano-tech and self-replication.


Non endless origin (optional).

While they fed suns with colonized planets they can live as normal (optional).


Why: because there should be something scary in the universe, new mechanics to play with
