This is a quick and dirty, somewhat spit ball shaped, idea. Political parties gain a (made up number for now of) supporters in every system if assigned in a way that matches the ideology. This popularity comes in the form of a gaurenteed supporter.

1st population is an Ecologists: Assigned to a system on the first turn it's created before the next election.

Next population is an Ecologist supporter: Assigned to the system which produces more than 200/400/600 food.

1 Military supporter per planet becomes an Ecologist supporter: Assigned to a system after it loses population (from invastion or starvation) and that system gains three times the lost population before the next election. When the election happens they switch their vote from militant to ecologist.

---

1 Industrial supporter per planet: Hero is in orbit around a system with a company HQ in a fleet entirely of civilian ships.

1st population is an Industrial supporter: Be a part of a fleet with a colonizer and colonize a planet. *Unless your Lumeris heros are injured by default the first lumeris population created on a new colony will be an industrialist.

1 Ecologist supporter per planet becomes an Industrial supporter: After a failed invasion assign an Industrialist Hero and rebuild any destroyed buildings and recover any lost population (has to be the same type of population lost).

--

Militant support: Assign your hero to a system you invaded successfully with that hero. Until the next election any new population created on the planet are military supporters.

Next population created is a military supporter: When assigned to the system the manpower in increased past 300/700/1100/2200/3300 etc.

1 Pacifist per planet becomes a military supporter: When assigned to a system that is invaded, if that invasion fails, then on the next election 1 Pacifist per planet in that system - even if the Hero is no longer assigned - switchs their vote to military
