War & Truce Declarations in Alliance

Hi Guys,

Not sure if I've missed something, but coming from the fact that when I am in alliance, I seem to be subject to sudden truce agreements with my enemies, right in the middle of my wars, against enemies I have declared war on myself - of which I'm guessing one of my AI alliance members have chosen a Truce with ehenemy.

t becomes a bit tiresome to have to declare war, have war interrupted by AI unilaterally choosing truce, declare war again, etc.

Would be nice to have this system fleshed out more.  Include voting for war and peace?  Have 'personal' or 'alliance' war declarations?  Build gameplay around choice to influence or leave alliance based on these war/truce declarations?

Since the latest update I've noticed the ability to veto a peace agreement with huge influence cost, which is a step in the right direction. But yes, there needs to be some agreement on war. The veto system (did they remove it?) was an imperfect but useful feature to prevent what you described.

Perhaps only the one who declared the war can make peace? I don't want ES2 to borrow too many elements from other developers, especially not Paradox, but Paradox had the right idea in EU4 of  primary contestants with supporting allies who can choose to join the war fully.

I was never even given the opportunity to veto during any of the times in my most recent play through.
