The victory conditions sometimes feel pretty far removed from the game's sense of character. I would like to see the faction storylines expanded to lead directly to a victory so that players who are more interested in the quirks of the setting than in a traditional 4x victory can focus on it right through to the end. This victory path could be disabled for anyone who wants a more pure strategy experience.
