I think it would be cool to see a tracker (other than turns through out the game) that keeps track of the age of your race and the number of generations of your faction that have passed as you play.  This could also be specific to solar systems and minor factions .


Maybe even a tracker for earth years or days.  This could add another element of immersion and understanding of just how long your explorations are taking.  I would also like to see different aging times for the different factions since it's a bit unrealistic for all factions to age at the same rate.  Again this could be expanded to track individual solar system years and the ages of minor factions since the time of discovery.
