Station probes

Would the idea would be that they can explore curiosities when they are stationed in that system?

I was just saying in the same way you send probes to scout, being able to tick them on a system for a couple of turns would be good.

That's interesting! It would take some time to get scouted, and there should be some kind of "in range" detection though, the thing would be how to balance it with the standard 2 probe usage approaches, since it does both. I'll add this to the idea description with your permission.

Yeah sure, add away! I was thinking of that because right now the exploration I do has two phases. First I want my scouts to see enough of the systems around me as fast as possible so that I can plan my expansion and meet some other empires. Then once that's done I can send my scouts back to investigate curiosities. The probes assist with the first part of that process, but it would be nice if they assist with the second part of it. I think you should only be able to send a probe to investigate curiosities if you can already see the system. I also agree that to keep it balanced the probes would have to have a limited number of curiosities they can look at, perhaps limited by its duration?
