Heroes:
- There shall be a way to specialize. ES1 had better hero’s skills. You were able to specialize governors or generals, and there were attributes that added to both skills, since a skilled governor has certain experience in war-faring and vice versa, a general governing armies has skills in civil affairs.
- Heroes assigned to fleet get extremely low XP and practically do not grow. A fleeing fleet provides no XP, destroying a fleet provides too low. Fleet Admirals has little chance to exist as they need to be assigned to system’s to get enough XP to become useful.
- I would rethink the 4 area’s max number of skills and change it to modifiers. For example same skills by type (military, scientist, etc.) but depending on race, those skills have modifiers values unique to the hero. A sophon is good at science (1-10) so its science modifier would be 6-10 versus a craver’s science modifier would be 1-3. These modifiers would act as skill enhancers (geometric not arithmetic progression) so if the trade skill is +20 science, a sophon with a science modifier 8 the end result could be +36 while a craver with modifier 3 could be +21. I understand Arithmetic progression would be easier to do and to balance the game (sophon 20+8 and craver 20+3). Food for thought.
