I'm sure things will change through patches and expansions. Being able to run quick simulations to see how everything interacts (For example, Diplomatic Immunity) means for a better experience in the game as there is less guess-work which can be frustrating.

Battle simulator in main menu or even as a some kind of simple tool that loads fleet compositions form a file and loads the battle would be awesome.

This needs more points. Another way to go about it is to allow players to simulate the battle where the player can see the "actions" for the current battle given certain scenarios.


What I mean is whan a battle is initiated, the user can try out card combinations for the user and the enemy. This doesn't have to say who wins, but rather, at which points does each flotilla fire their load.


There's been a lot of clamor for more intuitive battle mechanics. I think having this kind of pre-battle feedback would be useful. Devs should have noticed a common theme in questions regarding combat:


"When does each weapon fire for how much damage"

With this kind of simulator, the users would be able to see along the path when the weapons would fire for each ship if the enemy chooses a certain battle card.

That's the important bit, you want to let the users know how their ships would fight.

Great idea, it could also be unlocked via the tech tree, and maybe it'd be nice to pit your other ships and fleets against enemy fleets you've encountered (or somehow scanned) before.
