I'm not sure, but I think I was able to see it in star system improvements after I captured Pilgrim colony. Well, the description doesn't make sense, opponets can't see any improvement in your systems anyway and if they capture any from you, there is no point for it to just stay hidden to them.smiley: confused

I have never built this improvement, but here is what I "assume". This is only an advantage if you can create outposts the enemy can't see, so they don't know where to go to conquer you. So suppose you have two outposts, the first one with this improvement and the second one without. I suppose if the enemy looks in the galaxy view, they will see the first system as *uninhabited* while the second one shows as owned by you. I suppose this must prevent influence rings also, once the outpost gets old enough to turn into a colony.

If anybody has a late stage pilgrim game with this technology researched, please try this out. The only way to tell if it is working is to build the two systems near an enemy region of influence; then save, jailbreak the game, and load as one of the AI's. If you can't see the pilgrim inhabitation on the system with this improvement, my theory is correct.

Otherwise, I have no idea what it does. Maybe somebody has actually built it and seen a difference.

Well i know that you can see planet exploitations, and from it tell if a planet has been colonised or not, giving you an idea of the size of the system. Perhaps this simply stops showing planet exploitations?

They should really change the description, since it's more confusing than it's usage would be for the enemy smiley: embarassement or not mention it at all.smiley: biggrin

Alright, it's been two years.

Does anyone know if Factories of the Faithful is working now?

Can someone explain what the ability to hide from inspection on system means?

Thanks.

It's been working for as long as I've known. If you play against the pilgrims, you can see how it works midgame. Even if you scout the system, you can't click on it and see what's going on there. Click on any scouted system that's owned by another faction and you can see what's been colonized, what exploit the owner is using and what bonus or malus the planets have.
