Technology tree, anyone have the numbers and better description of each?

There are specific technologies you must get and fairly early. I have worked most of those out from reading here, google, and even that Wiki. Still many of the techs have descriptions and names that are as clear as mud.

What I am trying to find is a chart which lists each tech, its affect on FIDS/ships/etc, and secondary effects (like how Casimir lets you use warp lanes).

Can someone point me to such?

Good lord, each tech research area has a description of what you'll get when you research it, and the change in stats that will result. You usually get two results from researching a tech...mouse over each one and it will tell you everything.

it baffles me how some people either dont zoom in on the tech tree, or just dont think to mouse over the benifits. Every time I see someone complaining that they want numbers I facepalm sooo hard.

Oh we zoom in ... we see it

It's just that we have the capability of absorbing big blocks of reading at once.

So if we want to do 'something' we don't want to have to spend 15 minutes finding and expanding dots until we find it.

We just want to look at a chart and say "Ah Ha that's what I need!"

So I've had to make my own ... screen captures ... big chart ... pasted together ... pasted to my wall

I also wanted something like the charts that come with Civ. This is more complex.

I got referred to http://endlessspace.wikia.com/wiki/Technology

So I captured each one and saved it Then I merged them into big files.

Then I took it to a copy shop and made a BIG wall chart to post next to my computer

It has it nicely laid out in terms of what star system improvements do what. So if you want to, for example, focus on your food generation, check which techs give access to the system improvements that apply to you. So if you're as enamoured with Intensive Cultivation Logistics as I am, you would then search for that tech, find out it's in planetary landscaping, which also gives hyper scale farms, and go that route and watch your population boom. Researching too slow? Magnetic Field Generators will likely double your research totals and are relatively inexpensive to research and build. And so on and so forth.
