Hi to whom ever stumbles upon this thread:

I've been playing Endless Space for a week now, and I ran into an issue that is halting my entire game.

I'll start a new game, set the ships on auto explore... yada yada yada... when I click on a new star system, then onto the new planet, there is no information. I don't mean scant or stuff missing. I mean the entire UI and info section is non-existent. This is a huge issue. I can't interact with the rest of the game. I can look at info from my spawning solar system, but every other system has no visible info.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Please take this as trying to help - if you have more of a problem than what screenshots show, then will definitely try to give more advice. But first, have to ask the obvious given screenshots you showed:

Q: Are you trying to look at the planet view of systems you have not yet colonized? Because if so, this is completely normal and you will not see any planet info, exactly like your screenshots above. You will only see details in the planet view once you have colonized it with at least 1 settler.

Quick definition so we talk about same thing here:

System view - screen when clicking on a solar system, all planets lined up and each planet FIDS (food, industry, dust, science) numbers labeled above each

Planet view - screen when selecting individual planet, zoomed up view and normally used to select planet options like exploitation, moon survey, removing anomalies, and terraforming

From what you said and your screen posts - your initial starting solar system Centaurus in screens above is just fine - you can see System view and Planet view of your colonized planets - Centaurus I and V.

On the Tercana system view screenshot, all the FIDS info is displayed to give you idea which planet is best to settle but you have not colonized it yet. All planets in that screenshot have zero population.

On the planet view screenshot of the arid world (what looks like Tercana II), it shows nothing because you have not colonized it yet. This is normal (assuming you haven't colonized it).

On the planet view screenshot of the lava world (definitely not from Tercana so assuming this is from another solar system) - if you have not colonized the planet yet, then this planet view is normal as well.

So back to first question before seeing if you have some other game bug - are you looking for planet info on systems where you have not yet colonized?

Ok, that translates to the following specific issues:

A) Planet Information - this can be worked around because you still seem to have system view, like on your Tercana system screenshot. Once you play the game more, you will never use planet view to get info on your planet, just glance at the system view and will tell you all the info you need for each planet - population & FIDS
