Im invading an enemy system. I have a fleet of 15 ships that I use for nothing but bombing. They've got AP bombs on them and a geosynchronous sniper invasion module.



Anyway the problem I'm having is I'm not being given the option to bomb. The option is greyed out and says Cannot bomb: you do not have enough fighters and bombers providing land invasion strength.



Any idea what I'm missing

As the message says, you need fighters and bombers equipped on your ships (and not the battle-only version). I believe the strength of your fighters and bombers has to be higher than the AA defense on the planet. I can't give first-hand feedback because I use siege weapons and troops for invading, never bombs. I'm not saying they're not a good strategy, just that I don't personally use them.
