Hi,

Long time fan here - pirated the game just after release, played a lot throught few patches, finally bought my own copy after disharmony (a lot of wasted potential here, but that's for another thread).

Stopped playing like 2 years ago.

First I would like to thank developers for delivering such a great game in a practically dying genre (4X was dying - look at CIV 5 - that game was screaming CONSOLES at release), and for FREE additional content after release! That was awesome, and actually convinced me to buy that game at full price.

Second I have a question:

When was the last patch/update for this game released?

Since ES 2 is in development I think we can't expect any more work to be done on ES 1, so I would like to know since when game is in finished state.

Also:

Please don't #$%^& up ES 2. Please!

Remember Sword of the Stars 2 smiley: frown

Hi Archlich, and welcome to the forums.

First the unpleasantness: Whilst buying the game is commendable, pirating is not. Please bear in mind that whilst pirating may seem like a victim-less crime, you are directly contributing to the decline of the genres you love the most. More so if you pirate from small, independent studios. You could always simply buy a game in one of the many yearly sales. I'll get off my high horse now and stop lecturing, I promise ;-)

As far as ES1 patches go, the last one was in March 2015, and wasn't much of a patch to begin with.

You can find release notes for the last patches here:

The last 'proper' patches were just over a year ago, at the end of 2014.

You could say the game was considered finished with 1.1.58 Disharmony, in March 2015. The developers have stated that a patch for ES1 is extremely unlikely at this point.

Thank you very much for reply.

I have to play few games to check the changes (obviously I don't remember the exact date of my last game).

And once again - please do good work with ES2 (my son is 4 months old - I estimate that we still need 14 years for him to start playing daddy's strategy games - you guys need to survive till thensmiley: biggrin)

I don't work for Amplitude Studios, just for clarity ;-)

There's a forum section for ES2 though, and they welcome any input people have for consideration in future updates. It's also worth looking at the G2G system as you get to vote on how certain features shape up.

Your son will be playing games from age 8-10, I wouldn't be too worried about that. Although by then, gaming won't quite be the same as VR will be mainstream.
