I bought this game a couple days ago and I really like playing as the Cravers. One thing that confuses me however, is their racial affinity. It says I gain +1 Locust Points. What are these? What do they do?

I still have not found a way to view them, but 100 turns after you claim a planet, it receives a massive production penalty.

Hm. That's annoying but makes total sense given the Craver backstory. That being said, it should be explained much better.

You get a 25% bonus to FIDS on the first 50 turns, then no malus for the next 50 turns, then after that the planets get a -25% on FIDS.

They are overconsuming heir planets !

I like playing as the Cravers also, VieuxChat is right! You have to keep finding / taking planets to keep things in motion, especially after the 100 turn mark. Also They Have "Knowledge Gathering" where they gain research points for each enemy CP (Command Points) - Fleets they destroy, so its good to be fairly aggressive. Be careful though, that the other races don't gang up on you and overwhelm you. Best to concentrate on 1 faction at a time if possible.

I confirm that. At some point the planet will show with the status "DEPLETED" shown in red letters.



Cravens are probably the most powerful race (militarily) for the end game, and if they manage to build enough industry and research early on, they are very dangerous at all stages of the game. It's only normal that they get this malus (and according to my own games with them, it's actually of very little annoyance if you have the right techs and buildings set up).
