Hello,

I'm want to pre-order the game, but first I would like to know how it's performance on a simple Intel HD GPU. I'll be able to buy another laptop only in a few months, but in the meanwhile I would love to be able to play the game ...

Anyone playing on specs like this:

i5 2.53Ghz

4Gb DDR2

Win 7 x64

This laptop isn't THAT bad, but neither ideal for gaming. I can easily play on it Civ IV, Distant Worlds, Team Fortress 2, Dungeon Defenders, ...

Thanks in advance. smiley: smile

Cheers

Well I am running it on a laptop which is using the 2nd gen i3 with 2.10GHz which also has the Intel HD integrated graphics.

I can run it fine at 1600x900 resolution with the graphics setting on fast. Although sometimes when using the mouse to drag the galaxy about it does lag so I sometimes set the resolution to 1360x768 and it runs really smooth. Graphics still look great even though they are on the fast setting.

I'm sure this game will work just fine on your laptop smiley: smile

EDIT: forgot to mention that I also have 4gb and am running Win 7 x64

It is also kind of dependent on what revision your i5 is, 1st or 2nd Gen?

On the 2nd Gen's we are running solidworks viewers.

You could obtain the said information by knowing your CPU model,

CPU-Z is a good tool for this. I am not sure I am allowed to post links

It is a first generation,

J3ph42's input is most relevant tbh.

What other games could you run in there?

Your GPU isn't very powerful but I doubt you are playing 1920x1200 with an external monitor.

As I stated in the first post I can play games like these: Civ IV, Distant Worlds, Team Fortress 2, Dungeon Defenders, ...

And I run them all in 1366*768.

My apologies...

To be honest, I have not been home yet since buying it and never booted the game. hence my generic advice.

But considering this is not a FPS, I don't think you will have many issues.

Your graphics core is capable of DX11, game uses only DX9, so, shader 2.0

I am gonna go out and say, it will run. Especially if someone is running it on Core i3 already.

game seems to be based on loads of XML and C, those require CPU which you have a very powerful one...

I could be more help tomorrow, got a date tonight.
