I just purchased the game and closed the key it gave me when it popped up my first time playing (I was eager) and now I can't find it anywhere. When I rightclick the game in the library I don't see a view CD key button or anything and it doesn't appear to be in the purchase receipt I got in my email.



Where should I be looking for it so I can get my G2G points?

The detailed explanation is that Steam ran out of CD-Keys, and was still selling the game. This resulted in users being presented with the 'Failed to contact key server' error message. An immediate remedy to the situation was to allow users to purchase the game without CD-Keys until the situation could be rectified more permanently tomorrow (Monday).

It just seems odd because I remembered seeing a pop-up with the key. That's why I wasn't sure my question was related.



I'm in no big hurry for it. I have this one awesome new game occupying all my time ^_^

You did have a key at one point if you purchased before the key server issue today. Not being able to find your key now is probably a side effect of the quick fix employed to allow people to get around the 'Failed to contact key server' error. I imagine they simply unlinked this game from trying to contact the 'key server' for any reason. This has unfortunately made it impossible for anyone to access their existing keys as well. Remember, this is a Steam key server issue here.



Hopefully tomorrow (Monday) will see a resolution to this issue.
