Dark energy shield is a late game hissho technology , which gives you access to imho bugged/ imbalanaced missiles.They do 200-1000 dmg each !!!! They require 25000 research points.For comparison the last missile in normal tech tree deals 500-620 dmg each and requiers 99000 research points, not counting all the techs you must research before.I agree race specific tech should be good, the tech before for hisho special projectiles was jsut that good but not ridicoulus as these missiles. I am playing on endless diff and was slowly loosing, now im wiping the floor with anyhting that flies near - one salvo 3/4 enemy fleet gone. Has anyone else noticed this? Maybe i should report it to bugs section?

Missles are anyway easy to counter 1 Flaks counters 3 Missles.



no one uses missles in MP beyond early game.

hmm not sure if you seen those missiles in action....Anyay in mp i never ever got close to that late tech , so never used them there...But in sp they do seem to be ridiculously imbalanced.

And btw they need this one Ressource Quadrinix which is also an Late Tech.

And 200-1000 is a wide range of damage to be trusting to a dice roll.

The last missile in the normal tree is still stronger because it has 25% Crit-Chance and crits for three times the normal damage.



So that's an average of 840 Damage per missile while the other ones avarage to 650.



However, getting them sooner can, of course, make your ships much more powerfull for the time being.

how about the tonnage. do these missiels take up less space than the other high tech missiles?
