End-Screen: Graphs over Pies

Every other 4x game I've played has graphs at the end of the game, rather than pie charts (or your 1d doughnut charts).

It's much, much more interesting to see how you got to the end-game, rather than the state of the end-game. We were just playing - we know what the state of the game is when it ends.

Many things are different in ES compared to other 4x games. smiley: wink Good point anyway, it might make it into the game one day. I suggest you start a poll!

Thats something i want to see too. The game right now, at least in my eyes, lacks feeling. When I play with Sophons visualy have no difference than playing with Hishho. I am not talking about different UI just small screens and maybe cut-scenes that "remind" you with which race you play. On topic now yes I want a better ending than a "pie" too

At first glance I thought this was just a thread containing an overly pedantic discussion of why graphs look nicer than pie charts, but then I actually understood what you were talking about i.e. progress curves etc rather than just a current status display. A good idea I must say smiley: smile

One benefit of the graphs too is to see where you were weaker than your opponent. I almost feel like you have to experiment and pray you are doing better than the last time.

progress reports are always good, I wish one could access something like that whilst playing... if playing UE one could perhaps have an extra panel called "imperial intelligence" and this would sum up intelligence on the other factions along the lines of industrial and military progress and output? For the other species the panel could have different names...

I agree here. From the forums it appears that people desire to be more 'immersed' in the game and one of the most effective ways is too give more control and info to the user. Providing 'progress reports' during games and during the End game screen would accomplish this.

Now I am not sure as to the feasibility of adding this since it would seem more like 'espionage' than anything else. But it could even be, "My ships have intel since they were just there and I have seen most of the other systems at one point so lets put it all together and update it as we get info."
