I tend to play games from a lore-based perspective, or in the case of Endless Space, a race-based perspective. Now every time I start a new game I am plagued with heroes not of my race. What does everyone think of an option to choose your starting heroes at the beginning of a new game that way players like myself can have a fun, and no longer frustrating experience, when we play Endless Space. Yay or Nay?

I get your point but having a hero right from the start is lame.
