There are a lot of threads and post complaining about how the current system forces you to hand over command to an unreliable "auto" or waiting through the entire cinematic sequence. There are many more posts with ideas for solutions. This idea doesn't fully solve the problem, or replace those more developed solutions. But it should be much easier for Amplitude to write, and it makes the game more fun while more complicated improvements are considered and implemented.



* allow the player to press ESC at any point to abort the cinematic battle display.

* if cards have been chosen they will be used by the instant, behind the scenes battle resolution.



Should be very easy to implement, no new GUI, or AI, just a key press.



It should save the impatient player time, when he can't leave the cards to chance, but doesn't want to watch the movie, and it gives him the freedom to stop watching whenever he wants.

That idea is............brilliant.



I personally love the cinematics, but I know that it drives others bonkers. So, the best of both worlds!
