When creating a custom factions I have found it quite disappointing that I can change the affinities for my custom faction but not the hologram/ship designs.



For example I want create an automaton race, but, as I dislike the Craver ship design, I want to have a ship design similar to the Pilgrims.



At the moment the culture profile picture is attached to the ship designs and I think it would be a huge benefit to the creativity of users to simply disconnect those two as the development team did with the affinities.

Yeah, a good point. Affinity and ship design should get seperated. I completely agree to that.

Having the Automatons with Sower ships would be a great design as well. Too bad I can't do that either.
