Ultradense Slugs > Pinch Guns = WTH?

Maybe someone can explain this to me. Why would anyone even want Ultradense Slugs if the damage and accuracy is worse? Is this a mistake and Ultradense Slugs is suppose to be for the Kinetic Weapon Module? Because both of them clearly state Beam Weapon Module.

Science: Lepton Manipulation

Improvements: Pinch Guns, Plasma Fields

Science Cost: 18750

Damage: 2-150

Critic: 2-150

Projectiles: 8-150

Accuracy: 70-120%

Science: Entangled Systems

Improvements: Utradense Slugs, Depleted Armor

Science Cost: 18750

Damage: 2-30

Critic: x2

Projectiles: 8-150

Accuracy: 30-70%

Which would you choose?

Hahahaha, somebody made a typo in the game code and put Beam Weapon Module on Ultradense Slug

At least you can laugh at yourself :P

I think the 150 damage thing on pinch guns is ALSO a typo, and it's actually lower. check the individual mods, not the the tech description.

Also, since all defenses work the same now, beams seem to do the LEAST amount of overall damage....

overall yes, although that would not be accounting for practical damage due to weapon accuracy.
