Random Events Competition - Follow up (Global Interactive Event)

Hey everyone,

We recently announced a Random Event Creation Competition:

RANDOM EVENTS

We asked you to design two types of events:

A faction event: it will only affect your faction.
A global interactive event: it should have consequences on all factions in game. You need to design the situation and three choices available.

We have separated in two polls, the Global Interactive Event submissions (in this thread) and the Faction Event submissions (in this other thread). Please vote for your favourite submissions (multiple choices allowed) and we will pick out of the 10 best the three G2G contestants (simple criteria: doable or not, creativity, and challenge it represents).

Please note that temporary names have been given to submissions that had no title. Refer to this thread to find out more about the event descriptions and effects!

We will close this poll on January 8th.

Alien Refugees (random event)

A group of peaceful aliens fleeing from their homeworld wracked by war approaches your borders requesting a world of their own.

Good: Let them find a home. Colonizes a random world among systems you control.

Selfish: Put them to work on one of our worlds. +1 population, -10 happiness to a random system.

Evil: We don't want them make them go somewhere else. Another faction will encounter this event next turn.

I voted for Alien Refugees although I thought the Evil option could have been more Evil i.e. Consign the refugees to a barren moon and seize their ships and possessions. Gain 100 dust.

The point of the evil option was more about playing a game of 'hot potato' than actually being evil. Also I dislike all of the flat dust gain events due to the scaling issues between early and late game.
