Problem: in the mid-late game, there are lots of different improvements which are usefull only under certain conditions. For example money from moon, farming from moon etc.

Available improvement list becomes clogged with improvements.



When you research new one its hard to find it in the middle of improvements that you already decided you dont want on that system.





Solution: give ability to "gray out" improvement - by right clicking improvement in the list it becomes gray and is sorted at bottom. Right clicking again ungrays it.

Information about what is grayed out is system-specific.

As Eugenyl said it has been suggested already. Actually the linked thread isn't even the first to mention that, there are probably about 10 now around.
