The combat mechanics is not described. For advanced gameplay we need exactly now has it happens. In my opinion, the battle log is crucial (aka Galactic Civilization 2). In additional, it doesn't take much development efforts. Just show information per turn like

I think it reveals battle engine for players to avoid questions: "He won me! How?!" smiley: angry

It is not necessary for all battles, but it is extremely interesting for key battles. An additional button is enough on finished battle statistic. If player want, he can click it and view the summary log.

May be, it also helps us to catch bugs in battle logic in Beta version.
