I was thinking it would be cool to see more artwork inside the game.



There could be some on the event boxes that pop up.



Another way would be if a small box were added to the system screen which displays relevant (i.e. race/status/mood of system) artwork. That would give more of a visual cue as to what was going on.



For instance, in a Horatio system where the populace are unhappy, the box could roll through pictures of brooding Horatios. Or if there was an invasion on, you'd see pictures of a planet getting bombed.
