ENDLESS™ Space is a turn-based 4X strategy game, covering the space colonization age in the ENDLESS™ Universe. You control every aspect of your civilization as you strive for galactic dominion.
In many science fiction novels/films, a devastating and unknown plague rips across the galaxy, killing millions. I believe that this feature could be implemented into Endless Space. For instance the "X Plague" kills 1 population from a planet. Another disease could weaken people, lowering production. I'm not sure how this could fit into the lore of the universe, but I think that this idea would be a neat addition to the game.

Yep, this is pretty standard for these kinds of games. Perhaps an event where some reckless scientists have unleashed an ancient Virtual nano-plague, or a terran avian influenza virus wreaking havoc among the Hissho after first contact with the UE?
There is an event in place that announces the spread of the "Rapt0r virus" so I think the devs have either that very idea in mind or viruses are at least on their mind.
