While videos and the like I imagine are not high on the list of things-to-do, they do add a certain sense of greatness and achievement when they occur. For this reason, I suggest a simple video or cutscene when two things occur- One, when you have first successfully colonized a planet, and two, when you manage to terraform a planet into one of the higher, more sought after forms- like an Ocean, Jungle, or the other one whose name eludes me. They don't have to exactly be long and descriptive- short clips of a colony ship slowly descending into a planet or a rapid time lapse of a barren planet turning into a lush jungle. I'm fairly certain these would enhance the immersion level of players and give treats and visual rewards for managing to accomplish something.



As a side note, this could also work well for other big firsts, like the first Dreadnought, reaserching the end of the line in a tech three, and so forth.
