Sometimes I have an improvement researched that it simply doesn't make sense to build in a given system (e.g. Careful Sweeping if the system has no moons). I would like to see an option to manually hide/unhide improvements from the list of build options. Alternatively, give the user a toggled setting to automatically hide such "unapplicable" system improvements from the list of build options.
