When a temple is discovered, its (often esoteric) textual description is included in the dialog displayed, however the effect is not. Once the dialog has been dismissed one must remember the planet, or at least the system and hunt for the moon with the red aura, open that planet, click on the temple, and then finally discover the holy revelation of what beneficial effect it bestows.

Such a function is already implemented. Hold your mouse cursor over the name of the discovered temple in the message and you'll get the summary of its features.
