Please offer us the ability to remember, retain, or restore the list of Faction Competitors presented on the new game screen. As far as I'm aware, every other settable option is retained from game to game. But each time I start a new game I have to manually set the 8 competitors to my desired choice since they always revert to "Random Faction", even when their lock icons are clicked. (In fact I'm not really sure what the lock icons are supposed to do).



The lack of a provision for naming competitors with some title other than their race name means that a totally random selection will likely result in multiple competitors with the same faction name, only their colors differ. I find this regrettable, occasionally confusing, and regardless usually prefer to have a game in which all contenders are of a unique race. I just wish it was as convenient to do so as it is to rely on the stability of all other new game startup options.
