When battle begins, and the timer for choosing whether to auto battle or enact it personally appears, ships such as colony and scout vessels usually do not stand a chance!



My suggestion is that this battle window contain an "auto retreat" option that will play the retreat card for the player. This saves many folks the time and effort of personally retreating peaceful vessels.

Second. Having to manually retreat is a bit of a drag and slows down play. The mechanics should be there to run the battle with the retreating group selecting retreat for all 3 phases. The graphic add would be as simple as the "auto-explore" and the coding would presumably be easier?

Selecting a retreat card before entering auto battle to skip the combat has exactly the same effect as a dedicated button.
